Finally meeting Beto after following him the last 2 years in his senate and presidential campaigns was surreal! I have followed his live streams and it feels like you know him, and he totally makes you feel so welcome, it was everything I imagined!
It was unfortunate that it was the day of the heatwave in NY and it was 110 degrees, but still worth it! Beto is such a genuine person, a kind soul. When I came to another event the next night, he remembered me and gave me a huge hug! It was the best! And I met his wife Amy, who is absolutely lovely!
